College Baseball Central Podcast: Talking ECU Baseball with Ronnie Woodward

On this episode of the College Baseball Central Podcast, Joe Healy is joined by Ronnie Woodward of The Daily Reflector to talk East Carolina baseball. At this time last year, Joe had Ronnie on the podcast and the discussion centered around ECU’s 2017 struggles after coming into the season with expectations through the roof.

This time around, it’s a much different conversation, as the Pirates are coming off of a season that saw them host a regional for the first time since 2009, and their head coach, Cliff Godwin, recently re-affirmed his commitment to the program and his goal of getting ECU to Omaha.

Among the topics discussed this time around are:

  • The catalysts behind 2018 being a very different season compared to 2017
  • The point during the season at which Ronnie realized that the 2018 campaign was going to be different
  • Where ECU might have been a little bit short during their 2018 run that might have stopped them shy of advancing out of the regional
  • The importance of Cliff Godwin’s commitment to staying at ECU and pushing to get the Pirates to Omaha
  • The roster heading into the 2019 season
  • The best places to get a bite to eat should you be coming through the Greenville area

Thanks for listening, everyone!
