Scott kicks it off by highlighting Georgia’s series win over Texas A&M. Coming into the weekend, the Bulldogs were the SEC interloper, looking to pull an upset of the Aggies and prove that their hot start is for real, while the Aggies were looking to take care of business as the favored team. Coming out of the weekend, it’s Georgia that made a statement, with the Bulldogs jumping into the rankings ahead of the Aggies and showing that they’re likely a regional contender after all.
Joe touches on Utah’s huge upset of Oregon State, which was certainly a head scratcher. Oregon State just wasn’t all that sharp this weekend. Kevin Abel struggled a bit on Friday, while Bryce Fehmel wasn’t his best in the third game of the series. The Beavers also made three errors in a game twice this weekend. Overall, it was an uncharacteristically sloppy weekend for OSU.
The duo also goes through the most recent top 25 rankings, which featured some significant movement from top to bottom, including a returning number one team in Florida.
Finally, they discuss a few midweek games to watch, including Coastal Carolina visiting Clemson, a Bluegrass State matchup between Louisville and Kentucky, and a Sunshine State battle between Stetson and UCF.
Thanks for listening, everyone!
