College Baseball Central Podcast: Recapping Week 4 Around College Baseball

On this episode of the College Baseball Central Podcast, Joe Healy and Scott Stone recap the fourth weekend of action around college baseball.

The pair discusses the impressive series win for Kentucky over Texas Tech, the Wildcats’ second consecutive loud weekend of results, and Stanford taking three of four from Texas, earning their spot within the top five. They also touch on Louisville’s statement series win over North Carolina, Cal State Fullerton’s visit to Oregon State, where the Titans gave the Beavers a tough test, the Dodgertown tournament, which left a little bit to be desired due to Saturday rainouts, and what Joe saw in the state of Indiana from Butler and the Indiana Hoosiers, which was a mixed bag.

From there, they discuss the newest top 25, which features a new top team in Oregon State, and a ton of movement behind them, including Stanford and Kentucky moving into the top five, Louisville moving up a few spots, Clemson sliding up three spots after a 5-0 week, and Duke and UCF joining the rankings for the first time this season.

To wrap up, they talk about some of the marquee midweek games to watch this week, including a two-game set between Texas Tech and Louisville, Florida State visiting in-state rival Florida, Wichita State going to Missouri, a rivalry matchup between Arizona and Arizona State, and South Alabama going to LSU.

Thanks for listening, everyone!
