College Baseball Central Mid-Major 12 Rankings: 5/9/2018

For the second week in a row, the 12 teams included in the Mid-Major 12 are the same 12 teams as they were last week. But unlike last week, when there were only minimal moves made, we had some significant shifting in our rankings this time around.

Where there isn’t change is at the very top, as Dallas Baptist remains number one after a 4-1 week that included a conference sweep of Evansville. Just behind them at number two, we have a familiar face in Tennessee Tech, up one spot from last week after a sweep of Belmont.

The first big jumper is Stetson at number three. They’re up four spots from last week after going 3-0 on the week, including a two-game sweep in a weather-shortened series against Jacksonville.

At four and five are Missouri State and UNC-Greensboro, each up one spot. The Bears swept their weekend series with Valparaiso, while the Spartans did the same against Mercer.

San Diego State moves up two spots, to six, after going 3-1 on the week, including a series win over New Mexico. Right behind them, we have the other big jumper of the week, Southeastern Louisiana. The Lions are up five spots after winning their weekend series with Sam Houston State. Speaking of the Bearkats, they come in at number eight, down from number two last week, after losing that series.

The next three teams, St. John’s, Wright State, and College of Charleston, stay put after winning their weekend series, and the final team in the rankings is Jacksonville, down eight spots after dropping those two games to Stetson.
