College Baseball Central Mid-Major 12 Rankings: 4/18/2018

Much like the College Baseball Central top 25, there wasn’t a ton of change at the top of the Mid-Major 12 this week. The top five teams, in fact, are in the same place as last week.

The outlier there is Missouri State ranked third. They lost all three of their games this past week, but all three were to teams that were ranked at the time, so it’s hard to punish them too much and move them behind other teams that had good weeks, but did so playing weaker competition.

Stetson is the first moving team this week. They’re up four spots, to six, after going 4-0 on the week, with a quality midweek win over South Florida and a sweep of Lipscomb. Behind them, UNC-Greensboro and San Diego State are each up one spot, to seven and eight, respectively, after going 2-2 on the week with series wins. Saint Louis is a big jumper this week. They’re up three spots, to nine, after a 4-0 week.

Jacksonville returns to the rankings at number ten after a 3-1 week that included a series win over fellow Atlantic Sun contender Florida Gulf Coast. Behind them at 11 is new entrant Samford, one of the hottest teams in college baseball. They’re coming off of an impressive 4-0 week that included a midweek win over Auburn and a sweep of Mercer.

The final team in the rankings is Southeastern Louisiana, down six spots, to 12, after a 1-4 week.
