College Baseball Central Mid-Major 12 Rankings: 4/11/2018

This week in the Mid-Major 12, the top two teams, Dallas Baptist and Sam Houston State, remained the same after collecting solid midweek wins and then winning weekend series in conference play.

Missouri State comes in at number three, up two spots from last week. They swept Evansville over the weekend. Tennessee Tech vaults from out of the rankings altogether to number four. They’re ranked where they are in part because a few teams in this portion of the rankings lost series, but more than that, because they’ve absolutely laid waste to the teams on their schedule, particularly in conference play.

College of Charleston slides up one spot, to five, after going 4-1 on the week, and behind them, Southeastern Louisiana moves up two spots, to six, after a 3-1 week. The seven and eight spots are also occupied by two teams who are moving up. The former is Creighton, up two spots, after going 2-1 on the week, while the latter is UNC-Greensboro, up four spots, after a 4-0 week that included a sweep of Western Carolina.

The next three spots feature teams who fell this week. San Diego moves from three to nine after losing their series with Air Force, Stetson is down six spots, to ten, after going 1-3, and UNC-Wilmington is down four spots, to 11, after a 1-3 week of their own.

The number 12 team this week is another new entrant in Saint Louis, after they swept a conference series with Massachusetts over the weekend.

Mercer and UNLV fall out of the rankings this week. Each lost series this past weekend.
