Another Big 12 Conference weekend finishes with a mix of great pitching performances coupled with clutch hitting made for another stellar weekend of conference action. The No. 25 Oklahoma State Cowboys took the rubber match with the TCU Horned Frogs in a 9-4 victory lead by Zach Fish who went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI. Vince Wheeland came on in relief in the fourth inning and pitched five scoreless innings to hold the lead and preserve the series win.

The Kansas State Wildcats, fueled by starter Nate Griep‘s solid seven innings of work and RJ Santigate‘s 3-for-5 effort with two runs scored and an RBI, defeated the Creighton Bluejays to take the series win. Sean Carley pitched a complete game for the West Virginia Mountaineers allowing only one run while Ryan McBroom provided the offense with a runs scored and two RBI as the Mountaineers defeated the Baylor Bears to sweep their rain-shortened conference series.

The Kansas Jayhawks were under threat of being swept by the Oklahoma Sooners this weekend and took a 3-1 lead into the ninth inning only to see the lead erased in the top of the ninth by the Sooners. Kansas entered the bottom of the night with the game tied at three and got a little walk-off magic from Dakota Smith to win the game and avoid the sweep.
